Canada Anemone (Anemone canadensis)
The white flowers with yellow centres, which appear in June-July, are quite striking against the bright green leaves. This plant’s hairy leaves are 3-5 lobed giving it its family name, Crowfoot. Canada Anemone is a poisonous plant; touching any part of the plant causes skin irritation and eating it produces severe gastro-enteritis.
