The Paleo Pit
The Paleo Pit is an interactive classroom designed for younger students (recommended for Grades K-4). See the Paleo Pit for a more detailed description of activities. We recommend that teachers divide the class among the various stations using 10-minute rotations to ensure that all students have a chance at each activity. Teachers are responsible for ensuring all equipment and specimens are handled with care, and that the facility is left neat and tidy.
The Paleo Pit must be booked in advance for 1-hour time blocks. Teachers who wish to spend less time in the Paleo Pit can use some of the remaining time in the galleries. Teachers are responsible for supervising their students while in the Paleo Pit and the galleries. |
