Have you ever wondered how nature works, and where people fit in?  These “Interactive Learning Centres” explore our six gallery themes in detail, providing general information and specific examples.

Education Programs
Fun and educational programs in the areas of Earth Sciences, Life Sciences and First Nations are available for students in Kindergarten to Grade 12.

The Paleo Pit
Have fun learning about the prehistoric past.  The Paleo Pit is available to the public on holidays and weekends; and to classrooms on school days with pre-booking.

Polar Perspectives
The Canadian Museum of Nature, through the Alliance of Natural History Museums of Canada (ANHMC) and Students on Ice were proud to bring you “Polar Perspectives”, a pan-Canada program of IPY Speakers and Youth Forums.  Partners included Canadian Geographic Magazine, The Royal Canadian Geographical Society, The National Inuit Youth Council, and the IPY Canadian Youth Steering Committee.

Youth Forum on Sustainability
From 2004 to 2007, the RSM organized a Youth Forum on Sustainability.  This link describes how the program worked and how various agencies contributed to it.  You will also find details about Action Projects that were developed through the process, and what participants learned along the way.
