Youth Forum on Sustainability: Studying the Process
To learn more about the role that action projects and museums can play in sustainability education, Round 1 of the RSM Youth Forum on Sustainability was studied by a team of researchers from the University of Regina (M.J. Barrett, Ali Sammel, Kathy Nolan, Paul Hart), the Royal Saskatchewan Museum (Glenn Sutter), and Learning for a Sustainable Future (Pam Schwartzberg). Historical research was also conducted on previous Youth Forums conducted elsewhere in the country.
This research has helped us understand ways in which we can support local schools and communities to address sustainability issues and provide participants with a rich opportunity for participants to reflect on their experiences. Data were collected and analyzed from the fall of 2003 to December 2004, and a final report was produced in January 2005.

For information or to obtain a copy of the final report, contact: M.J. Barrett, Faculty of Education, University of Saskatchewan, ph: (306)966-7633.
