Life Sciences Unit: Neat Stuff - Mammal Collection
The Mammals are done!
As part of a two year project funded by Heritage Canada’s Museum Assistance Program, we have completely inventoried the RSM’s mammal collection. From shrews to polar bears and everything in between, the RSM has nearly 2,000 mammal specimens within the collection.

| Each specimen is carefully housed and organized in cabinets within our Biology collection. These specimens represent a physical record of the natural history of our province and are an invaluable resource to scientists everywhere. If you want to know about Saskatchewan’s wildlife, the RSM is the place to go! | ![]() |
