FAQS: Exhibits Unit
Is the clothing on the mannequins in the open displays of the First Nations Gallery from your ethnology collection?
No. Any articles of clothing or accessories in open, exposed exhibits are replicas made especially for these displays. The real artifacts from the ethnology collection are old, rare and fragile. They are displayed only in exhibits that are behind glass, where the humidity and temperature can be controlled, and where they are protected from being stolen, touched or otherwise damaged.
