How many plants and animals in Saskatchewan are endangered?
COSEWIC (Committee on the Status of Endangered Wildlife in Canada) has listed 41 species as being endangered, at risk, or of concern in Saskatchewan. Saskatchewan Environment and Resource Management has implemented legislation that protects 15 species from being disturbed, collected, killed or exported, and more are currently under consideration. In Canada, 352 species are on the endangered wildlife list.
